2014 Is My Year and I Am So Excited

You will not believe how excited I am that we are starting a new year! Whoo Hoo! I strongly believe that this is MY year to make things happen and to finally get healthy. I started last year and got down the healthy road a little and then the holidays hit. I don’t do the holidays well. The good news is that I am still down in weight and plan on just going down from here.

2014 a fresh start

I am still down 22 pounds and have hopped back on Medifast full time. It was sporadic for a while there.

I also joined our Dietbet. You should really join if you haven’t. It is a good way to hold yourself accountable to your weight loss.

I am telling you now……….I AM losing this weight this year and I AM getting healthy.

I am tired of feeling tired. I am tired of wondering if my clothes are going to fit. I am tired of wondering if I am going to fit in a booth or not at a restaurant. I am tired of being worried about what others think of my weight. I am tired of buying clothing that makes me look “less fat” and when I find something that makes me look “less fat”, I buying it in 3 different colors.  I am just tired of all of the fat people problems. There are A TON of fat people problems out there.  And I am tired of every one of them!!

Other exciting news is that I started the year off by going to the doctor. Why is that exciting news you ask? Well, I don’t go to the doctor. I probably haven’t been to any kind of doctor for myself in probably three years.

I have a doctor phobia.

I feel like they are always going to find something wrong with me and I am a ticking time bomb due to my weight……..oh, that would be another fat person problem.

I got blood work done for base line numbers and I plan for them to just go down from here and get better. I knew my glucose test would be high. I have been a pre-diabetic for about 5 years now. Luckily, I am still just a pre-diabetic and not gone into full blown diabetes. That is one thing that has really scared me about going to the doctor. I don’t want to go and be told that I have diabetes. Losing weight will bring those numbers down and I will no longer be a pre diabetic. Other than the high glucose, I seem to be fairly healthy except for the darn weight!! Thank God!!

Another exciting fact is that my doctor is a health coach with Medifast. She wants me to succeed and is going to do everything in her power to help me reach my weight loss goals. She wants me to email her my food log and exercise journal once a week and come in for her to monitor my weight once a month. It is going to be great for me for accountability!!

I left her office feeling energized and pumped and knowing that I WILL do this this year. I am telling you that 2014 is going to be the year that my life changed!!

Keep Calm 2014 will be awesome

I also have to let you know that Medifast came out with a new meal. Ziti Marinara. It is so good. I love it. As cold as it is right now. it is a nice comfort food to have. So, if you are on Mediast and haven’t tried it you really should. It’s great.

As we have started a new year, I have a couple of goals.

First is to get my weight loss train started back up again and get the numbers moving in the right direction…….down.

Next, is to start exercising. I know I wrote a post about 5k’s but I really, really, really want to start exercising so I can participate in some 5k’s without it absolutely killing me.  So for the year, I would like to enter and complete 4, 5k’s.

I am also going to blog my weekly weight loss accomplishments to all of you, to get back into the habit of blogging once a week.

My short term weight loss goal is to get to 50 pounds down so I can put another weight loss comparison picture up on the blog. That is a BIG goal of mine.

2014 is my year to shine, is it yours? What are some of your goals for this new year?
