My Wednesday Weigh In – A Couple of Days Late

Hey guys. No I didn’t forget that I needed to blog. I have just been really, really busy and am just now sitting down to do it.

I mananged to have a decent week. Yeah!! I am down 3 pounds. I see myself thinner and healthy and am really going to keep imagining it until I get there. I will get there. I can feel it in my bones.

I have been doing a lot of soul searching lately. Trying to really find out why I have let myself get this large, obese, out of shape, whatever you want to call it. I was reading a blog that someone posted that really hit me and shouted “THIS IS YOU, THIS IS YOUR PROBLEM”!!

I bet your curious now.

Here is the gist. I am a very loyal person. That is something that I strive for and I want others to be loyal to me. I am a loyal wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. If I promise to do something, then I do it.

Here is where this gets tricky. Why can I be so loyal to others when I can’t be loyal to myself? I have promised myself over and over and over and over again for the last 15 years that I was going to get my weight under control. That I was going to fuel my body with healthier foods and live a more active lifestyle. Why can’t I keep that promise to myself? Where did that loyalty go? What is my problem?

I’m still kind of searching for those answers but I feel like this is a really good start for me to be thinking through and getting to the bottom of all this craziness.

My mother in laws birthday was last week and I found her the perfect card that goes along these lines. Fortunately, I forgot the card which enabled me to use it in this blog post, but she will be getting it soon.

everything you need

I loved this card because it is saying, you have it in yourself to do this. You can do it!! I thought it was perfect for encouragement for anyone who is struggling with any kind of issue really because you just have to dig deep and find it in yourself.

There is a saying that I have read over and over again the last year that I really like. “It is never too late to be the person you were meant to be”. I love that. I hope that it also encourages all of you out there struggling. You have it in you to do this. You have everything you need, to be everything you want!! Love it!!
