Triple Berry Breakfast Smoothie – Recipe

Can you believe the holidays are here?!?  Where did this year go?

We all know that along with the holidays come lots of FOOD.  When I say FOOD, I mean F-O-O-D that is not necessarily good for us.  When I was thinking about the perfect smoothie for November to share with you for the Puritan’s Pride Smoothie Challenge, I knew just what I wanted to make.

For me, I have to start the day off on the right foot.  If I can start my day with high protein, I am set for several hours and I tend to make good choices.  This recipe I am going to share with you will fit that to the “T.”

This Triple Berry Breakfast Smoothie is packed with good things that will keep you full and satisfied for hours.

Puritan’s Pride Whey Protein for Her – This protein powder is low in fat, 94% Lactose Free, Aspartame-Free and specifically designed for women’s needs.  It has No Artificial Color, No Preservatives, No Gluten, No Wheat, No Yeast, No Fish.

Frozen Berries – Berries are great because they are high in fiber, low in calories, and full of antioxidants.  Any berries you choose for this smoothie will be delicious!

Puritan’s Pride Psyllium Husk SeedThis is rich in soluble fiber, to keep your digestive tract moving smoothly.  Also, if you are trying to lose weight, Psyllium Husk Seeds expand in your stomach, therefore, making you feel fuller longer.

Raw Kale Powder – Kale is one of the most nutritious of all vegetables. This powder is made from fresh, whole, raw Kale and custom freeze-dried. Freeze-drying is the best method for preserving the complex chemistry, active enzymes and entire matrix of a plant in its fresh form.

Serves: 1

Nutrition Information:  215 Calories, 4.5 grams fat, 26 grams carbs, 10 grams fiber, 20 grams protein

Weight Watchers Points Plus Per Serving:  5 points plus


  • 1 cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
  • 1 cup Frozen Berries (I used a blend of raspberries, blueberries and blackberries I found frozen at Costco).  Any frozen berries will work!
  • 1 scoop Puritan’s Pride Whey Protein for Her in Vanilla Bean
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. Psyllium Husk Seeds
  • 2 tsp. Kale Powder (optional)
  • 1 scoop Stevia (optional)
  • 1/4 cup water – simply for consistency


Combine all ingredients in your blender.  Blend until smooth.  Enjoy!

The Kale powder is optional.  I don’t really enjoy the taste of kale so I prefer the taste of this smoothie without the powder.  However, I know I need more greens in my life so I either put the kale powder in or add a big handful of spinach.  You can’t taste the spinach at all but the kale powder is somewhat noticeable.  If you don’t mind kale, definitely use it!

This smoothie is so delicious and will keep you feeling full all morning!  You really must try this!
