Yes, I know…it’s me. I’m still here and it’s been a while but I have some things to say so I am going to cut past the “Where have you been” info and get straight to it.
We are all in a new situation. We have NEVER done this before. We have never stayed home this long and this intense. The closest thing I have done to this was bedrest for 4 weeks before Delaney was born. Even then, I got out at least once a week to go to the doctor.
So, needless to say, we are in uncharted territory. I hope you are all staying home like we are supposed to and only going out for necessities. I don’t even do that much. My husband, Jason is our runner who goes to the store for us and my parents so they don’t have to go out. Thank God for him!
So, here we are, stuck in our houses with endless amounts of food and choices. We all have choices to make. The decisions we make on a day to day basis will dictate what our life is like out of here. We are getting out of here – sooner than later and when we do, where do you want to be in your health journey?
- Do you want to be 15 pounds heavier or 15 pounds lighter?
- Do you want to be in horrible shape or the best shape you have been in in a long time?
- Do you want to be more of a mess or more organized?
- Do you want to feel like a slob or have more energy?
Depending on how you answered these questions is how we proceed from here. If you want to be the first answer to each question, bye. You can go back to your couch sitting. However, if you want to be the later of each question, 15 pounds lighter, best shape, more organized, and have more energy, please continue on.
The choice is yours and it needs to be a daily choice. For some of us, it needs to be an hourly choice or a minute by minute choice. Are you going to track what you are eating or eat everything in sight? Are you going to count your macros/calories or binge eat? Are you going to workout or sit around all day? Are you going to organize one room at a time or let everything pile up? Are you going to go outside and get fresh air or sit around inside watching television all day?
We have choices. The choices we are making now will impact how we look and feel when we get out of this quarantine. I know I want to look good and feel good so I have to make daily choices in order for that to happen. I can’t eat those Reeses eggs that are my favorites. I can’t eat those chips that are in my pantry. I can’t go over my macros daily and expect to lose. I can’t sit around and watch television all day.
Make the hard choices. Do the hard stuff. When this is over – sooner than later, you will wish you did!
