TGIF…uh oh. ”Why, uh oh” you say? Well, I say “uh oh” because that means the weekend is here. I have had such a great week working out every single day, writing down everything I eat, and staying within my Weight Watchers Points Plus that I hate to ruin such hard work with a bad weekend.
The good news is, we don’t have any outings or “eatings” planned this weekend. But, this morning I already had temptation knock on my door when I was talking to my husband about dinner tonight. My sister had mentioned Cheeseburger Bobby’s so her husband could try it. Then, Jason said, “I would rather have Mellow Mushroom or Blue Moon pizza!” AGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Did you hear the scream at your house? If you know me, really know me, you know my weakness is pizza.
Well, I basically shot down that idea quickly before I could say what my mouth was wanting to say, “OH YEAH!!!!! That would be soooo good!” It would be good, for my taste buds but that is about it. For my stomach and my brain and my self esteem after eating it, I had to say “NO!”
After winning one food battle this morning, I still had one more to win-Cheeseburger Bobby’s. I suggest Jason and my brother in law go alone but that would be no fun for them. Plus, I have to eat dinner too! Jason said I really got him in the mood for a cheeseburger so I figured out how to please everyone and still feel good about my decision tomorrow morning when I step on the scale.
I decided I will make cheeseburgers here at home. We have a fabulous Weber grill and I know how to cook. So, with those two things it is a winning combination. I will make juicy cheeseburgers for them with all the fixings and for me, I will make a Jenni-O Lean Turkey Burger (If you haven’t tried these, they are delicious).
There, the first challenge of the weekend adverted and I win! Now, what will the next challenge be I wonder?
Here is my weekend plan and I will report back on Monday and let you know if it was successful or not. This weekend I am going to continue to track everything I eat and stay within my Weight Watchers Points Plus. I will also exercise at least 45 minutes a day doing some sort of intentional exercise. I will make decisions that I will not regret the hour after making them or the next day when I have to weigh myself (Yes, I weigh myself daily…it helps keep me accountable).
What are your weekend plans? If weekends are hard for you like they are for me, make a plan NOW. Always go into a “battle” with an action plan or you will lose. Share your action plan with us to inspire others!
Have a fabulous, healthy, good decision-making weekend !
