Weight Loss Success Story: Caitlin Flora

Let me introduce you to today’s success story, Caitlin.  Back in 2008, she weighed in at 332 pounds and was very unhappy!

She had to borrow her husbands shorts and even those were too tight!

Fast forward to 2014 where Caitlin has lost a whopping 197 pounds and not only stays healthy herself but also helps others!

Tell us a little about yourself, your family, your job, etc…
My name is Caitlin I am 33 years old.  I am a certified personal trainer with NASM..married with fur babies and enjoying living in Florida!

How long did it take you to get to your ideal weight? Are you there now?
I started my journey 4 years ago and I am now at my goal weight..I just love how healthy and fit and strong I feel!!

What was your motivation to lose weight?
When people kept asking me if I was pregnant I knew I needed to lose weight.

My motivation was the pain in my knees..the indents from my tight jeans around my waist. Being out of breath all the time..all of those things were my motivation to want to change for good.

What made you decide to start your weight loss journey?
I decided the day after someone asked me if I was pregnant that I was going to try eating healthy and exercising and that if it didn’t work I would go for surgery..thank God it worked!

What kept you on track losing weight?
Blogging about it..talking to friends..starting at old fat photos kept me going as well.

Tell us about a typical day in terms of eating and exercise.
I eat clean so 3 meals..2 snacks..I eat every 3 hours and drink 3 liters of water daily. I exercise 45 mins per day with weights and then I train clients.

What is the biggest difference you have noticed because of your weight loss?
I feel like I won the lottery..I literally feel like a million bucks. I’ve never loved myself before and I finally do and it feels amazing!! People treat you differently as well!

What advice can you give to others struggling to lose weight?
Be consistent..get support..write about it or keep a journal. Dont be the problem be the solution. Three things you must do in order to lose weight are Drink loads of water, Exercise 5 days a week, and Eat Healthy.

How do you keep the weight off in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle?
I eat clean and don’t diet..I will eat this way the rest of my life and that is how I live healthy!
