Smile With Your Eyes

Today is going to be short and sweet because I am in the throws of getting ready for the new school year.  I am up to my eyeballs in school stuff.  Those sweet faces on Monday are 100% worth it!

Since I am short on time, I wanted to share two quick things with you.

First, I was selected from Heathline.com as one of the Top Weight Loss Blogs.  You can check out all 18 HERE and be inspired.  There are great ones on the list.

Second, I was featured on Re-Body as one of their Success Stories.  Here is my favorite line from the whole article, “Jennifer is one of those people who smiles with her eyes; it comes from within.”  W-O-W!  What a compliment.  I do not think there is a higher compliment than someone telling you that you smile with your eyes.  Have you ever heard the saying, “Your eyes are the windows to your soul?”  When I read that she said that about me it literally made me cry.  I love it!

This article is full of questions that I answered for them and the questions they asked were quite difficult.  It took me quite a bit of time to answer them because I had not been asked most of these before.  It was challenging and fun all at the same time.

I really hope you will take some time and read the article.  If you do, tell me one thing you loved about it.  I’m off to work some more!  Happy Hump Day!

I really enjoyed the article and could relate to so much of what you said. This is what stood out to me the most: _________ “BEST: Weight Watchers – without a doubt. I have learned HOW to eat and WHAT to eat with this program. I will be a weight watcher for the rest of my life. It’s all about what you eat, how much you eat and how much you move. Period.” _________ I have lost 40 lbs (65 to go!) by following WW Points+. It has truly taught me WHAT to eat and WHY. I must confess to recently tracking by calories on My Fitness Pal instead of using the Points+ program and the only reason for the change is to avoid paying the monthly WW fee. I still look at my diet and mentally check off those good health guidelines every day! I will forever be thankful to WW Points+ for teaching me about eating to fuel my body. I somehow seem to have missed out on learning that information until I was 39 years old! Of course, I had done WW before and a billion other fad diets over the years but I never really learned the ‘why’ behind food. Points+ taught me that. I feel so blessed to have finally developed an understanding of how food is fuel for my body, mind and soul and most of all be able to teach this important lesson to my children while they are still young, healthy and active. I want them to always stay this way and I think they will, because as a family, we have learned not only how to eat healthy but also why we need to eat healthy and be active in order to take care of our bodies.
