Lately I have been feeling down about my weight loss. I have asked questions like, “Why is this taking so long? HOW did I let myself gain 15 pounds over the past year. WHY can’t I just reach goal?!?”
Two seperate people have told me the same thing over the last week:
OMG! How true is this Jen?!?
Stop your bitchin’ and get on with it.
There are people out there who would kill to have lost 85 pounds.
There are people out there who would LOVE to lose even 5 pounds.
There are people out there who would love to be able to exercise non-stop for 45 minutes.
There are people out there who would love to have enough energy to be able to go outside and take a walk.
There are people out there who believe they can never lose a pound, much less 85.
Get over whatever situation you THINK you are in because there are so many people out there who have it worse.
This weekend as Jason and I were walking around the park, there was an extrememly heavy man walking around the track. H wasn’t just walking though, he was really moving! With sweat pouring down his face and his shirt soaked, I thought, “He is really doing it!” He isn’t making excuses. He is out here trying to improve his life. I just wanted to cheer for him. I wanted to tell him, “Way to GO!” I wanted to walk with him and tell him to NEVER GIVE UP!
There are people who are smaller than him at home making excuses. Instead of making an excuse, he was being active to change his life.
I tell you all of this to say -
No matter if you just started a weight loss journey or have been on one for almost four years (like some of us…ahem…)
No matter if you have lost half a pound of hundreds.
No matter if you have walked down the street for the first time or have ran several marathons.
You-Are-Doing-It!
And, if it were easy, everyone would do it.
