He Gave His ONLY Son

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know that Jason and I have been trying to conceive for over three years.  If you are a new reader or were not aware of that, read the post God Knows to hear all the details.

I can only imagine the day we are finally able to have a baby of our own.  I am sure the love I will feel will be more love than anything I have ever felt before.  To forever have my heart walking around outside my body in the form of a little person.

One day…

Today is Good Friday.  Today I am thankful that God, loved ME so much that he gave his ONLY son.  If you take a minute to let that sink in, you will truly know what a sacrifice that was for him.

He had ONE son.  Only one.  He loved the people in this world so much that He allowed that one son to die for our sins so we could have forgiveness.

He wanted me to have life forever so he sacrificed his ONLY child for me…and YOU.

He loves us that much!

Today, on Good Friday, take a minute to let that sink in.  Would you allow your only child to be killed for the people of this world?!?  Me either.

No matter what we are going through in life, we have someone who loves us more than we could ever imagine.  We have someone who would give their only child for US.

You and Me

Happy Good Friday!

He died for us!

Jennifer, thank you for this post today. A good reminder of why we celebrate Easter. It’s not all marshmallow peeps and colored eggs and family dinners. It’s good to stop, take a breath, and remember this sacrifice. And the way you put it in simple terms really helps in that realization. God bless.
