Half Size Me Podcast

My before and after picture!

Happy Monday everyone from sunny Florida!  I had a fabulous day yesterday relaxing in the sun and catching up with my BFF Kristen.  We have yet to run out of things to talk about so we are good for at least a few more days!

We did get a nice long walk in yesterday morning and I hope to again today.  It is always nice to have someone to talk to while working out.  It makes the time go by much faster.

While I am taking time away from the normal routine of day to day, I want you to head on over to Half Size Me.  Heather, the owner, asked me if I would do a podcast for her blog to tell others all about my weight loss and of course, I said , “YES!”  Anytime I can reach out to new peeps and let them know my story, I am there!

We had a great conversation that lasted about 30 minutes but it was so great to tell my story to new people who don’t know.  I hope you will head over to her site and check it out!

If you have a chance to listen to it, leave me a comment and tell me what you liked about it!

I have just started my lifelong weighloss journey “for the last time” as you said in the podcast.  I could definitely relate to you, as I have battled through this weight my whole life it seems, but it really came on heavy during college and then after marriage.  I am the mom to 6yr old twin boys, and want to be able to be a better mom for them and wife to my wonderful husband.  I started about 2 weeks ago, and hopefully will hit the 10lb mark this week!  I am very excited about that and wanted to thank you for this blog, as well as sharing through the podcast!  I found so much motivation in it,and can’t wait to be further inspired by you!!

Yeah! I am so glad you found me and that you have started your “lifestyle change.” Did you hit the 10 pound mark? If not, no worries, you will!

It was great listening to your awesome journey today as I was on the treadmill. Heather has been bringing some really great inspiration to the podcast. Hope you reach your goal by your birthday. I know that oh just so close feeling. Congrats on the 1/2 marathon, that is a true achievement to be proud of as well as the weight loss. Wishing you much sucess.

My first weight watchers meeting was in highschool too:(  I remember it was located in a mall and just had a big thick curtain across the front entrance and I’d check to make sure I didn’t know anyone walking by and I’d duck behind the curtain to go to the meeting.  But I quit shortly after because I was too afraid of classmates finding out I was doing WW and I so wish I would have stayed committed and lost the weight as a teenager.  But onward and upward, loooking to the future!  Great podcast!

(sorry for my poor English)   I’m attending ww also – in the Netherlands… Lost about 12kg, stil 15kg to go… Beïng just back from a vacation from Florida I realized: Losing weight in the States is much more difficult than in Europe! In almost every can / food there are extra sucars or extra fats…  fresh fruit and veggies are extremely expensive …  ready to go salades always contain extra’s like fat dressings or cheese or croutons: even sugar! … I really tryed to stick to my points – but during our vacation, at the hotel or in restaurants: it was só difficult! So: way 2 go for you and everybody in the states that are trying to lose weight!!!

Thanks Sara and welcome! How cool that you are going to WW in the Netherlands! Around the world, we are all in this together!
