March Madness

WOW!

March is here and I am calling this month March Madness because it is time to STOP – THE – MADNESS!

To me. March means my sister’s birthday, my first half-marathon and getting one month closer to summer break!

This month, I am going to make small, meaningful goals to try and get myself back on track.

I am WAY off track.

I thought the competition at school would keep me in line but it really hasn’t.  The leader is so far ahead that there is no possible way I could catch him in a healthy way.  And…that is the goal.  To lose weight the healthy, lasting way.  So…that competition has lost the motivation for me.

Also, I am training hard for this half-marathon which is making me so hungry…All. The. Time.

With those things in mind, I need to get myself back on track and that is my goal this month.

Here is my action plan:

  • Track (No doiey…you do it, it works)
  • Exercise – This is not so much of a challenge now but it will be after the half-marathon on March 18.
  • Cut out the sugar – This is my weakness.  If I can cut it out, I will be much better off!
  • Try a new recipe a week – I haven’t been so good about cooking at home and there are so many great recipes out there. I need to start making them!

Those are my goals for March.  It is an exciting month for me due to the half-marathon.  I will accomplish a major goal I have had since starting this weight loss journey.  I am excited to cross the finish line and feel the feeling of such an accomplishment!

What are your goals for March?  There is one month until spring break and three months until summer.  What are YOU going to do this month to get closer to your healthiness goals?

    1. I am going to track everything 2. add green to every meal 3.  continue walking the dog. 4. go to boot camp 2 times a week.

Just found your blog today (linked from Dashing Dish) and I love it!  I also have lost 100 pounds, then gained 20+ back, now I’m working hard to get back to where I was.  Your blog is really great and I look forward to looking back through your archives and following along on your journey.  Who did your blog design?  It is so cute!

I am so glad you found me! You can do it! I have certainly gained and lost in the past also! My husband did my design and paid a graphic designer for my logo! I will give him your compliment! Thanks!
