My Favorite Time Of The Year – December 2013 Medifast Goals

Can I just tell you that I absolutely love Christmas!! It is my favorite holiday. I love everything that it stands for. I love how we have a holiday that celebrates the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I love Christmas decorations in the stores. I love, love, love Christmas music.  I live in a smaller town than my family and I love how our town hangs Christmas lights up on the street lights going down Main Street. Yes, we really have a Main Street in our town. I love that!!

I also love traditions. About 4 years ago, my family started a tradition for the night before Thanksgiving. We decided to try out a new Olive Garden in a neighboring town and we had never taken the kids there before so we thought it would be a new adventure for them. After, we were going to the local mall to see Santa Clause. Let me just tell you, my kids absolutely loved Olive Garden. So much so that it has become an annual tradition for the night before Thanksgiving. It is also a great time to see Santa because he isn’t busy yet and there is never a wait. This was our picture from this year, about a week ago:

With Christmas right around the corner, I have decided to make some goals for December.

I really want to be down over 10 pounds from where I started this week. I want to hit 40 pounds by the end of December.  I can do it. I am on my way back down on the scale from the weight I gained before and over Thanksgiving and am already feeling so much better. I have learned that when I get off my eating plan, I just don’t feel good. I am moody, and my pants are tight, and I just don’t feel as good about myself. I like being on plan and waking up and just feeling lighter. I love that!!

I would also like to make it a goal to start walking. I did a post about how I really want to do 5k races but I have to start somewhere and if I don’t get out there and start walking than I will never get started on my race completions.

We have four weeks until the end of December and I would like to lose at least 3 pounds each week. If I can do that, I will easily reach my goal.  I am doing this and I am going to lose this weight!! I have that excitement back in me and the fire to get this weight off. I can’t wait to feel better.

I couldn’t let my sister put on a picture of her tree without showing you one of mine:

Of course we put it up too early, mid November, but that is the way I like it!! Have I ever told you how much I LOVE Christmas?

Have you thought of any goals for the last month of this year? What are they?
