Easy Lunch Ideas

If you are like me, you pack your lunch the night before so you are ready to go the next morning.  It’s that whole – Failing to Plan is Planning to Fail thing.  If I don’t make it the night before, I am not a good planner.

This is my typical lunch:

Better Than Eating Out Salad

Yes, I know the fork is on the wrong side.  Excuse my lack of proper-ness.  To be honest, I was just trying NOT to show the snowflakes on the other side.  Hey…true etiquette can’t happen ALL the time!  Anyway…back to what we were saying.

My husband and I love salads.  We buy the huge thing of spring mix at Costco, throw in some chick peas, chicken, cucumber, shredded cheese, tomatoes, carrots, and peppers and call it a day.  Easy Peasy.

But…sometimes we get bored and want some different ideas.

Fitness Magazine came up with 11 Easy Lunches to help you lose weight.  You must check out some of the yummy recipes.  There are some great ideas including pizza, salads, chili, pasta and wraps.  Even yours truly was put on there with this Cheesy Chicken Wrap:

I hope you will check out all the yummy lunch ideas that Fitness has given!  No more boring lunches!  I for one can’t wait to try the Burrito Salad!  Yum!

Check out the site and tell me which lunch idea you are going to try!  Enjoy!

Nice ideas! I have been eating soup packed with veggies everyday for lunch since it’s hard for me to get in my vegetables most day (never was a salad eater).

Hi Jennifer, I love your blog! I was looking at these recipes on the Fitness website & noticed they don’t have any nutritional info listed. Do you know how many WW points this wrap is? Thanks!

It should be around 4 points plus. Depending on the type of wrap that you use. The one I used was 2 pp and the turkey and cheese were both 1 pp with the veggies being free!
