There has been contraversy going on about Chick-fil-A’s founder saying he believes the bible and supports traditional marriage. So, some people are boycotting Chick-fil-A, while others are standing by the company and agreeing with their “traditional” values. Well, people decided they would support the company on August 1, 2012, today. They called it “Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day”. Hence the long lines at Chick-fil-A’s everywhere! I am not going to go into the whole discussion of this controversy. My opinion is only my opinion and it doesn’t really matter. Moving on…
My friend Allison asked on Facebook, “Would it be BAD if I ate all 3 meals at Chick-fil-A today???” This got me pondering. I wonder, if someone following Weight Watchers could eat 3 meals at Chick-fil-A, feel satisfied and stay within their daily points plus target. I decided to do a little experiment. Here would be a day of Chick-fil-A Weight Watchers style.
I get 29 points plus a day. Here would be my daily menu if I chose to eat Chick-fil-A for every meal:
Breakfast – Chick-fil-A Chicken Minis
- Chick-fil-A Chicken Minis (4 count) – 10 points plus
- Coffee with Cream and Sweet-n-low – 2 points plus
Total used: 12 pp Total Remaining: 17 pp
**Stay AWAY from the hash browns. That cute little box of yumminess will cost you 7 points plus!
Lunch-Chargrilled Chicken Sandwich
- Chick-fil-A Chargrilled Chicken Sandwich – 7 points plus
- Fruit Cup instead of fries – 0 points plus
- Large Diet Dr. Pepper – 0 points plus
Total Used: 19 pp Total Remaining: 10 pp
**Stay AWAY from the delicious waffle fries. One SMALL serving is 7 points plus!
Dinner-Chargrilled Chicken Salad
- Chargrilled Chicken Garden Salad – 5 points plus
- Light Italian Dressing – 0 points plus
- Large Water or any Diet Beverage – 0 points plus
- Icedream Cone for dessert – 5 points plus
Total Used: 29 pp Total Remaining 0 pp
**Stay away from the yummy, warm, gooey, Chocolate Chip Cookie. Even though it is the best darn chocolate chip cookie you will EVER put in your mouth, it will cost you a whopping 9 points plus! Oh, and also stay clear from any milkshakes…they are death!
I DID IT! A whole day of Chick-fil-A without going over points plus. AND…I even indulged in an icedream cone.
