Take THAT Holiday Weight Gain – Weekly Weigh In

I weighed in yesterday.  I am going back to Monday weigh in’s for two reasons.

First, I weighed in on Mondays for five years and that worked for me.  I am going back to what worked.

Second, I am attending a weekly group class again with Jacynta starting next week and she is going to have someone there to weigh us in.  Accountability…YES!

So, I decided to weigh in today to see how I had done since New Year’s Day.  If you have been watching my vlogs, you know I was NOT happy with the weight that I saw on the scale when I stepped on the morning of January 1, 2015.  I was in fact mortified.  But, I wasn’t depressed.  I decided to look at the number, see what it was, face it and move on.  With my plans this year, I plan to never see that number again.

I was very excited to weigh this morning.  I knew I had been on point and I knew my weigh in was going to be good.  My alarm didn’t go off so I was a bit late but I knew I had time to get on the scale.  I stepped on the scale and saw a loss of 6.2.

Weekly Weigh In January 6, 2015

Now, before you all freak out and tell me that is too much for a week and blah blah blah, let me tell you all the things I feel contributed to this big weight loss.

  • I ate A LOT on New Year’s Eve and didn’t crawl into bed until around 2:30 so when I weighed on January 1, there was still a ton of food in my belly.
  • I have done pretty close to perfect the last five days.
  • I drank a ton of water.
  • I ate between 1300-1500 calories every day.
  • I tracked every-single-thing I put in my mouth in My Fitness Pal.
  • I walked every day.
  • I cut out all sweets.
  • I cut out all junk.
  • I have focused on eating whole foods and trying to cut out things that are not from the earth.

I am pretty darn proud of my 6.2 pounds I lost.  Whether or not I had food in my tummy from NYE or not, I worked for that loss.  I am almost back to where I was at the beginning of December which was 222.2.

Have you been hesitating to weigh because you are scared of the number?  My advice to you is to get on the scale, face the number and move on.  Just think…you won’t have to see that number EVER again!

Did you weigh in on New Year’s Day or have you been waiting?  If you are waiting, comment and tell me when you are going to bite the bullet and weigh in.  If you weighed in, how have you been doing since then?  What are your successes and failures?  Share with us so we can all learn from you!
