My weigh in at Weight Watchers last night was OK. Had I not eaten all that chocolate cake last week, I might have lost more. I did manage to lose 1.2 and I saw a total loss of 100.0 on the scale again. Slowly moving back to where I was before Thanksgiving.
Last night, the meeting topic was all about a new technique that the new Points Plus 2012 is offering. It is called the Simply Filling Technique.
With the new program, you can choose NOT to track for a day. That’s right, the one thing Weight Watchers ALWAYS wants you to do is track but they have figured out a way that you don’t have to track. Yep, they are giving you a day, or two days, or three of NO tracking.
But…there is a simple rule you must follow. You must only eat “power foods”. Power foods are foods that are fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fat free dairy, or lean meats. You can also eat your 2 teaspoons of oil a day without tracking those. You can also drink some beverages without tracking like coffee (black), tea (unsweetened), or diet beverages. Here is a whole article about what is on the power foods list.
Now, what if you want to eat a food NOT from the power food list? You can eat it but you have to track it and it has to come out of your weekly 49 points.
The cool thing about simply filling is you can do it once a week, twice a week, or all week long (if you can handle it!). The choice is up to you. You can track one day and do simply filling the next. That is all part of the flexibility of the new program.
My leader challenged us to do the simply filling technique one time this week. I am going to try it one day. I will be eating a lot of eggs, lean meats, fruits, and veggies but I am going to try it for one day. Wish me luck!
Have you thought about using the Simply Filling technique? Will you try it for one day this week?
