Set an October Goal – Weekly Weigh In

Last night’s meeting was ok.  We had a good meeting topic (and I got to help teach which I love) but my weigh in was not so good.

Last week I gained 0.2 pounds.  How this happened, I have a few guesses.  I did really great last week so all I can think of is that either a)  My body had three great weeks in a row so it is taking a break; or  b) I am about to start my period and it is true what they say about your body weighing more right before.  I always thought that was a good excuse if someone had a bad week.  Now I know that it might be the truth.  I was a little disappointed but it wasn’t disappointment in myself.  It was disappointment in my body.  There really wasn’t anything I could have done better last week.  This is going to happen.  It is all about keep on keeping on.

This week in my Weight Watchers meeting we talked about E-Tools.  This is a service available to Weight Watchers members who have the monthly pass.  This is an amazing resource for those members who subscribe to it.  I helped talk about the topic with our leader, Jacynta.  It was fun to get to talk to other people about something that is so beneficial.  The biggest thing if you have e-tools and are not currently using it is to get on there and play around.  Start small with just your tracking and go from there.  The tracking is so much easier with e-tools and much more convenient.  You should check it out!

Set a Goal

On another note, I want to share some October goals with you.  For those of you who know me, you know I am a BIG goal setter.  I like to make small, short term goals that are achievable.  So, for October, here are my goals:

  • Achieve a TOTAL loss off 100 pounds.  I am at 95,8 right now so this is totally do-able.  Of course, that was my January goal, and my February goal, and my March goal…anyway, you get the picture.  This month, I want to make it!
  • Do some weight training.  I am not sure where to start on this one.  I have tried P-90X in the past but I need something simpler and easier to follow.  Anyone have any good recommendations?
  • Continue to Track!  I have done really well tracking the last few weeks.  This month, I want to continue with this trend and track every day.

That’s it.  Those are the three goals I am going to work on this month.  What are your goals for October?  Make small, meaningful goals that are achievable.  You will be glad you did!
