My Beach Trip – Medifast Weekly Weigh In

I have just gotten back from my very relaxing trip to the beach. I tell you, everyone needs to take a vacation like this so they can rest and not have so many responsibilities. I had a great week and came home relaxed and refreshed.

Now on to my eating for the week. First let me say, I forgot to take my bathroom scale. I was very disappointed about that because I weigh just about every day. I use that as a gauge to see how my eating plan is going especially when I am out of my eating norm like on vacation.

I would say as a whole, I did really well. I feel like I stayed on plan about 90% of the time. We went out to eat twice and I made good choices both times. When I got home I was finally able to weigh. While I didn’t lose any weight, I didn’t gain any weight either and that is huge for me. In the past, I could easily come home with 5 or 10 not so friendly pounds.

We took one night out of the week to take pictures. It was hard to fit those in because it stormed every night. We were on the verge of a storm that night but managed to just beat it. There was a lot of lightning as we were walking home.

We did a lot of pool swimming and a little bit of swimming in the ocean. The waves were awesome due to the nightly storms that we had. Luckily, my kids, husband and I really enjoy swimming and relaxing in the sun.

At the end of the week we went deep sea fishing. We had a blast!! My sister and her husband went, my brother and his girlfriend and me and my husband.

We will be having fish for a while!  My husband and brother caught two huge Cobias.

They are very rare to catch this time of year. Apparently we had a great trip out. Then between the other 4 of us, we caught 10 red snapper.

Both kind of fish I can eat on my eating plan so I will be having lots in the future! We couldn’t have asked for a better fishing trip. I am a little worried that the next time I go out I will be very disappointed.

That is about how my trip went other than a very long ride home. We had a fabulous week and it has been hard to get back into “life”. We are back home now and making plans for the rest of our summer which include summer camps, doctor appointments and all of those fun things. I am very pleased with how my week turned onto losing weight the rest of the summer.

How were you able to stay on plan on vacation?! We are going to the beach for 10 days, and I’m super nervous & unsure of how I’m going to stay on Medifast! I’m so inspired that you were able to do it!!!!! Great job!!!!!

Sounds very relaxing to be at the beach…I always end up going off plan when I go on vacation. My week (or weekend as it may be) starts off great and then I say ‘the heck with it’. Great job staying OP!
