Monday morning, again, I didn’t know what to expect. It was a “snow day” and I wasn’t really excited about weighing (you can always tell what kind of week I had whether or not I am excited to weigh in!). Reluctantly, I got on the scale.
Down 0.8! YAHOO! For a total of…
14.4 pounds! YAHOO!
That is 14.4 pounds in a month and a half! I am super stoked! Again, I am more excited that there has not been one week that I gained weight. Each week, I have lost weight and that is really helping me stay motivated! I don’t want THIS week to be the week I gain weight.
It is also keeping me accountable on the weekends. I don’t know about you but weekends are tough for me. Who wants to cook on a Friday night after a long week? We typically will eat out at least once on the weekends. This weekend, I was really craving Taco Bell. That is what I ate on Sunday, the day before my weigh in. But, you know what, I tracked it and ate it and it was so yummy! I even stayed under my calorie goal for the day!
It must be that whole, trust the plan thing.
If you are like me, and you have trouble staying on plan during the weekends, I want to challenge you to do something you are probably NOT going to want to do. You ready. Give me a minute and hear me out before you just yell, “NO” at the computer.
Make your weigh in day Monday.
I promise you, it will keep you on track during the weekends. In the back of your mind, you will hear yourself saying, “You have to weigh on Monday…maybe you shouldn’t eat that.” Or you might hear yourself say, “You have to weigh on Monday. Maybe you should go for a walk!”
Now, I know what you are thinking, “My life won’t be as much fun if I don’t go all out on the weekends!” I am here to tell you that for the last six years, I have still had fun in my life. I still enjoyed my weekends and ate some things I had planned to eat. I still enjoyed myself at parties and such. Your fun will not stop if you start weighing in on Monday mornings.
Trust-Me!
I have lost all of my weight weighing in on a Monday. You can too!
So, I want to encourage you to stop blowing your weight loss efforts on the weekends and if you don’t already weigh in on a Monday, would you please consider changing your weigh in day? Honestly, it would be fun to have a bunch of us weighing and reporting our losses each week!
What day are you currently weighing in and let me know if you are going to start weighing in on Mondays.
