Bite It Write It – Weekly Weigh In

I am so glad I went to my Weight Watchers meeting tonight.  I wonder if there are ever times when someone leaves a Weight Watchers meeting and wishes they had not gone?  I am sure there are some out there but no one walking out of my leader Jacynta’s meeting ever says that!  She rocks.  If you don’t have a good leader – find a new one.  Find one that motivates you and encourages you and entertains you all rolled in one.  Life is too short NOT to have a good Weight Watcher leader!

Moving on…

October 1 2012 Weight Watchers weigh in

I lost 0.2 pounds.  AND…I only lost that much because I took off my jewelry.  Hey..sometimes you have to do what you have to do.  I was technically exactly the same.

Oh well…move on and keep moving forward!

This lovely lady in our meeting told the coolest story today.  Her name is Lou-Anne.  She took home the Monday night traveling tracker and the first week, she tracked EVERYTHING.  And she gained.  So, before she had even sat in her seat, she decided she was going to take it home and do it another week.  She wasn’t going to let her bad week beat her down.  The next week, she lost 1.4 pounds.  She beat it and didn’t let it defeat her!

Tonight was our first meeting starting off Weight Watchers 8-Week Challenge.  I told you all about it last week and many of you committed to do the challenge with me.

This week it is all about tracking.  Let’s commit to tracking every single thing we put in our mouths.  If you don’t have an E-tools subscription with Weight Watchers, get out a pen and paper.  Just write it down.

If you have trouble writing it down, someone suggested tracking ahead of time.  For instance, if you know what you are eating the next day for breakfast and lunch, track the night before when you have some down time.

If you have trouble running out of points by dinner time, do something called upside-down tracking where you start your day with dinner and end with lunch the next day.

There are so many tips out there to be successful tracking.  The big secret to weight loss is to track.  That’s it.  If you track, stay within your points and don’t cheat, you will lose weight and be successful with Weight Watchers.

As Jacynta says:

  • You Bite It, You Write It
  • Lick It, Stick It
  • Hog It, Log It
  • Drink, Ink It

Just do it!  Have a successful week tracking and let’s all see a little LESS of ourselves on the scale next week.

Oh…gotta share with you my new shirt Weight Watchers sent me:

Thanks Weight Watchers!  Love it!

Having an idea of what to prepare for the next day (plan your meals in advance) is a great tool for those who want to lose some pounds. Great post.

I got an app for my android, myFitnessPal.You set yourself a daily calorie target, and then track each day against that. Its not weight watchers, but tracking is tracking right? Now that I know how many calories are in that cupcake, I think twice about how much I want it! Those calories have to be worth it. I have lost 3.7kgs in 5 weeks so far (upping exercise levels too, especially on binge days)

I think above all, writing down what you eat is most important. Few people want to consistently write down all the terrible foods they ate.

I don’t do weight watchers…but I am committed to tracking all my calories on MyFitnessPal…lost 80 pounds and ready to lose the last 20. This was great motivation!
