Back Up Plan – Weekly Weigh In

Love This!

This week’s weigh in at Weight Watchers was not fun.  I knew it was not going to be fun due to the fact that I ate a bunch of Easter candy, salty ham, and it’s that time of the month.

Sure enough-I was up 2.6.  Well damn.

Good thing is, I went and weighed in even though I didn’t want to!

It’s a new week and I am going to have a good one!

This week’s meeting topic was all about having a Plan B for exercise.  The best thing I heard was Jacynta ask, “If your plan for dinner doesn’t happen, do you say, ‘Oh well…I guess I’m not going to eat tonight?’”  No!  We come up with something else to eat.  We have a plan b!

When our exercise plans go awry, do you say, “Oh well…I guess I’m not going to workout today!”  Absolutely!

We need to come up with an alternative plan when our initial plan for exercise doesn’t happen for whatever reason!

Can’t workout outside because it’s raining?  Exercise inside on the treadmill or with a workout dvd.

Can’t go to the gym for some reason?  Get out into the street–Especially if the weather is nice!

Have an injury and can’t run or walk or elliptical or bike?  SWIM!

Be creative and find alternatives to your workouts!

Do you have a plan B for exercise?  Do you make it a priority?  Have a great week!

    i skipped going to weigh in tonight because of the bad choices i have made…i am so disappointed in myself :(
    i feel off the wagon, now i need to get back on…..this is only my 3rd week……i have only lost 10.4 lbs….my starting weight was 300.6………do you have an pointers or advice for helping me reach my  goal?

      Whatever you do…DO NOT give up! Take it one step at a time, one week at a time and you will do it! 10.4 pounds in 3 weeks is absolutely amazing! No matter how much you weigh, that is a huge accomplishment! Keep on keeping on and keep going to your meetings. Find a good one and don’t stop!

    I do, I do!  I’ve already accepted that even though I’m on a running streak, I just might not have time for it today.  (I only half an hour between today’s modeling gig and rehearsal.)  Usually, I find 15 minutes of body-weight training is faster than a run because I never leave my apartment.  Sucks to end the streak, but on the other hand…maybe I just go to rehearsal sweaty.  ;)

    We had sooo many empty seats at our meeting tuesday.  There were a few who had gained but were so glad that they came on in!  My son was out of school and my husband was home last week, I had 3 days were I couldnt get my “normal” routine in.  We ended up riding bikes one day and hiking up Stone Mt. one day.  I lost 5 lbs this week!!!  I will be trying to mix up my routines more often;)  One of the things that I love about WW is that they stress that we all get a brand new week!

    I was up last week too and I almost didn’t go but I faced the scale.  I see you are struggling this week too – but tell me – how are your workouts coming?  Are you getting your 10 minutes a day in?  I seem to find it easier to tacklet one goal at a time.

      No…I am not getting my 10 minutes a day in. This week has actually been terrible on the exercise front. A new week starts tomorrow. Thank God for that!

    I also loved the WW meeting this week.  Skip dinner? Preposterous!  Loved that you recapped that.  And thanks for posting your ups and downs… its so encouraging to know that others are going through the same thing, and yet still succeeding! Keep up the great work!

     Jennifer you should be happy with a 10.4 lb loss in only 3 weeks, I think that is marvelous. You need to stop negative talking in your own head, know what I mean? We are our own worst enemys. Don’t be so hard on yourself. Had a bad day today with food choices, well thats ok, tomorrow is an entirely new day. Start fresh. Had an entire bad week? That’s ok, start a new week with better choices.  Another thing you should do is set small goals for yourself. I havent set a “final goal” yet weight-wise, I’ve set small goals along the way. My first one was to lose 10% of my starting weight, which I achieved 2 weeks ago. My next goal is to lose 10 more pounds. Then I’ll decide from there what my next goal will be. I started WW thinking I wanted/needed to lose 70 pounds. I’ve not hit the 1/2 way point yet (have lost about 27.5 pounds so far), but I will see what happens in 10 pound increments. It makes it more manageable for me. Good luck to you!

    And for what it’s worth I was up 1.8 lbs this week. There were MANY empty chairs this week. But at least I showed up and weighed in and faced the music…LOL.  Tomorow is another day I’ll start fresh and  hope next week’s weigh in is better :)
