OMGeeeeeeee!!!!! I am so excited to be able to write this blog post today. Who has been waiting to see progress pictures? Well, today you are going to get plenty of them.
It seems like it has taken me forever to get here. I was teetering on the edge of 25 pounds all week, then all of a sudden I had a good drop in weight. That being said, I got rid of another 2.5 pounds for a total of 26 pounds!!
This journey has not been an easy one. I have had ups and downs and cravings and just wanting to eat, but I feel like now I am in a groove and there is no looking back. I am getting rid of this weight for good.
I was visiting with Jennifer last night and we decided to take some progress pictures. I will warn you that some of them aren’t pretty and I wore a tight shirt on purpose so I would be able to see my progress.
The first picture is a face shot. It seems like I am getting a little more definition in my cheeks and they are moving away from just fat, round cheeks.
Next we did two pictures from the front. One with hands on hips:
And one without…….noticing the MUCH looser shirt…….
I have to tell you that in losing 25 pounds, I feel a lot better. I don’t ache as much, my clothes are much, much looser and I think I will be going down a size in around another 10 or 15 pounds. I am so excited about that.
The next picture was where I felt like I saw the most change. It is a picture of me from the side.
I have to say that until I started really looking and analyzing the pictures, I just felt like my weight loss so far was not that big of a deal. I have a feeling that is because I have so much weight to lose and 25 pounds is just a drop in the bucket. When I actually started analyzing the pictures, it had more of an impact on me about how much 25 pounds actually is.
It is not just a drop in the bucket. If you pick up a 25 pound bag of something it gets quite heavy after carrying it around for a while. All of a sudden I got this renewed sense of excitement when losing weight.
I can’t wait for the next 25 pounds to be gone to share more pictures with you all. I strongly encourage anyone just starting out on an eating plan or healthy life style to take before pictures. If you ever get down or tired of your weight loss efforts, take a new picture and compare it to your old ones and it should help you feel better about what you have done.
The last picture we took was just a fun one because I knew that my husband would like it!!
Do you take pictures during your weight loss journey and do they encourage you to keep going?
