Happy Halloween! Today is a day where many Americans dress up, walk around to get tons of candy and then sit at home eating that candy for many, many days. Halloween is not a very healthy holiday!
This Halloween is monumental in my life. I will forever remember Halloween 2011 as the day I hit my goal of losing 100 pounds.
I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With only about 5 people in the meeting room, me and my entourage (mom, dad, and Jason) walked in the door. With video camera rolling (video footage will be on a later post), I stepped up on the scale. I don’t remember the last time I was as nervous as I was at that moment. Kyle got her usual big old grin and shook her head yes and told me I had done it. 2.2 pounds for a total of…
100.2
I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For the past three years, this was the biggest goal I was working toward and I did it. On the most unhealthy of holidays, I did it. I am still in shock and awe. It just proves, anyone can do it.
This night would NOT have been possible without these people who have been instrumental in my weight loss:
Kyle is Jacynta’s Monday night sidekick. I talked about her in my Weight Watchers post but I can honestly say, she is a gift from God. Knowing that I have her to be accountable to makes me a very lucky person. I love weighing in with a non-judgemental person. It makes all the difference. Kyle, you are a gift to me and I hope Weight Watchers knows how lucky they are to have you.
My parents were instrumental in my joining Weight Watchers almost three years ago. Without their prayers, faith, money, and commitment to my health, I would not have been a success. I feel so blessed to have two praying parents who love me and support me so much!
Last but certainly not least:
If you don’t have a loving, supportive partner, I’m sorry. Jason, my husband, has made my weight loss journey much easier through his support and encouragement. He is the first person I text every week telling him how I do at my weigh in. He cares…and that means so much!
There have been MANY other people who have helped me in this weight loss journey. Thank you to Kristen, Katherine, Allison and everyone who has ever shown interest in my journey. You inspire me and I truly couldn’t be a success without you.
Looking forward, my next goal is to lose 5 pounds by Thanksgiving. You know me, always setting goals.
Halloween is over. Throw out the candy and move forward. Go back to your meetings and set new goals. You are worth it!
