Jennie-O Extra Lean Seasoned White Turkey Burger Patties – Review

Jennie-O Seasoned White Turkey Patties

Jennie-O Seasoned White Turkey Patties Four Pack

Happy Memorial Day!  Memorial Day is in honor of all of those men and women who have served and are serving our country.  It also represents the start of summer.

Summer means grilling and grilling means burgers!

Our favorite burger is the Jennie-O Extra Lean Seasoned White Turkey Burger.  They are pre-formed patties in a package of four.  They are super easy to grill or even cook in a pan with a little bit of non-stick cooking spray.  I like to add a little Lawry’s Seasoning Salt to them just to kick up the flavor a notch.  15 minutes in the pan and dinner is served.  Here are the things I love about these Turkey Burgers:

  • Extra Lean – Each patty is only 3 Weight Watchers points plus (but when you eat it, you have NO IDEA these are “lean” much less “extra lean!”
  • Juicy – These are incredibly juicy and moist!
  • Flavorful – The burgers are NOT boring but have wonderful flavor.
  • Fast – Cook in only about 15 minutes!
  • Non-guilty burger – This way, you can eat a “burger” without all the guilt from a traditional hamburger!
  • Four Pack – The burgers come in a four pack so you can feed a family of four or have leftovers for later in the week!
  • All Natural – These are all natural, 95% fat free, and gluten free!

I love to serve these with Alexia Sweet Potato Fries for a healthy, delicious meal in minutes.

This summer, as you are firing up the barbecue, pick up some of these Jennie-O turkey burgers in the meat department of your local grocery store.  When you do, let me know what you think of these!  You will love them!

Happy Memorial Day!  Let’s all take a moment and thank a veteran or soldier!  We could not live the life we do without them!

I’m so happy you did a review on these!  I made the mistake of recently trying the WW frozen chicken burgers… :(   Boca burgers have better flavor and are more tender (thats kinda sad).  So I look forward to trying the Jennie-O burgers and I’m going to toss out the WW ones (no clue why they got into the chicken market in the first place)!

Yes! You must try these! Just make sure you get the fresh ones, not the frozen patties. The frozen ones are OK but not as good as the ones in the meat section of your grocery store!

I’d love to make these, but my husband is allergic to poultry! I don’t do burgers at home cuz he’s the expert at those… but when I ask him to make them lately, he just wants to go out. ;-) I really love the Mornistar Chipotle Black Bean Burgers, though!

Ooooo….I will have to try the black bean burgers. Thanks for the tip!

Someone I work with also mentioned these same Turkey Burgers today. She had them over the holiday weekend and raved about them also. So I guess I’m off to the market in search of these, because the “Bubba Burgers” my family loves have 11, yes I said ELEVEN, points plus value WITHOUT THE BUN! Yikes!

    • http://www.itsuxtobefat.com Jennifer Swafford

Yes…you MUST try these! Especially considering you can have 3 burgers for the points of one Bubba burger! Wowzers!

Ok I asked hubby to pick up these burgers for me at the market this weekend. He came home with a pack of frozen Jenny-O turkey burgers. They are NOT extra lean, therefore they are 5 points per serving. Not as great as 3, but heck of a lot better than the 11 of the regular ones! I am going to make one either tonight or tomorrow so I’ll let you know how I like them ;)

It’s the thought that counts, right? I have tried the frozen ones and I actually don’t like them as well as the extra-lean fresh ones. They are still good though.

Well I will see tomorrow at Dinner how I like them. I had specifically said “fresh 4 pack, I can freeze the extras and pull them out when I want”.  I think he heard “freeze”. LOL!  Will I need to jazz it up, I’m wondering if I should get an onion and maybe some lemon juice to put on it also.

I just put Seasoning Salt on them but the frozen ones might be good with lemon juice or onion! It’s worth a shot!

I tried the turkey burger and  I was pleased to find that I really liked it! I put it on one of those sandwich rounds (2 points) and also put a little lemon juice on it. I wanted onion but didnt have any so decided to make do without. Will have them again for sure, maybe next time get more creative with the toppings I put on it.
