Brothers-All-Natural Fruit Crisps – Review

While shopping at Costco last week, I noticed a big box of Brothers-All-Natural Fruit Crisps.  In this particular box were three flavors.  It came with Fuji Apple, Asian Pear, and Strawberries and Bananas.  We decided to try them out because there were no other ingredients in the package other than fruit.  Knowing that on Weight Watchers, fruit is zero Weight Watcher Point Plus, I knew it was a great “on the go” snack for me to have.  Here is a short snippet of each type and what you should expect.

Fuji Apple:

Brothers Apple Crisps

These are very thin, chip like freeze-dried apple slices.  They are not too sweet and not too tart.  They are a tad dry (they are freeze-dried people!) but still taste good.  In each bag is a cup and a half of fruit so you are getting a nice portion of filling fruit in each little serving bag.

Asian Pear:

Brothers Pear Crisps

Much more tart than the Fuji apples.  These are thin wafers like the apples with similar texture.  It does taste just like an Asian pear.  Don’t want the juice of a pear running down your chin as you are trying to eat it?  Grab these and go.  Very versatile and easy!

Strawberries and Bananas-Out of the three varieties in this box, this pack was my favorite!

Brothers Strawberry and Banana Crisps

The strawberries add a sweetness and go well with the bananas.  Eaten on their own, the bananas are very banana-y(is that a word?!?) and the strawberries are delicious.  Have you ever eaten the strawberries straight out of the Special K cereal box without milk?  That is exactly what these taste like.  Don’t have time to wash and cut all those strawberries?  Grab this and go.

Overall, I love these.  They are so quick and easy to throw in your purse, laptop case, or lunchbox and you are getting at least a serving of fruit.  If you have a Costco near you, check these out.  Have you tried them?  Do you think you might?  Leave a comment and let me know!
