Whatever You Do – Don't Sit on the Couch

Be the girl you were too lazy to be yesterdayI had good intentions to start my half marathon training for a half marathon coming up in October.  I have 8 weeks to train which is the amount of time I had to train for my last one.

I had good intentions on Tuesday night to do day 1 – 3 miles.

It was raining.  We went to Costco.

I got home and sat on the couch.  Game over.

I had good intentions last night.  I did get in a mile during our Girls on the Run meeting.  Then, I was going to go when I got home.

Guess what I did?!?  Yep…sat on the couch.  Game over.

I swear there is something in the couch that sucks you in and holds you there and screams, “NO!  Don’t go workout!  Don’t leave me!”

So…today, when I get home, I will NOT sit on the couch before I go run.

The couch is evil – Whatever you do, workout BEFORE you sit on it or it will suck you in and NOT let you go.

Has this ever happened to you?

This Happens to me all the time. I have the intention of cleaning of going to the gym, and if I happen to sit on the couch, I get sooooo lazy. I usually think…. You should’ve never sat down!

Absolutely. The thing I’ve found is that if I sit on the couch first, I’m not even enjoying it because I’m feeling guilty. But sitting on the couch *after* a workout is much more relaxing. ;-)

Seriously! The couch teams up with my dog to keep me couch-bound on the daily!

It happens to me all the time. I sit on the couch and then I get sleep and very unmoviated!

See the couch is extremely dangerous! For me it is the computer. Once your comfy it is hard to make sure you get up. I am currently using the buddy system to make sure I get up and workout.

Good job! I recently did a post on how Weight Watchers has been instrumental in helping Jessica Simpson loose all of her baby weight. Keep up the good work .
